Opportunity to be involved

The Premium Audit Adviser plays an important role in supporting ARPC’s premium audit function by helping deliver an effective cedant review program and applying data analytics to strengthen audit outcomes. Reporting to the Director Underwriting Terrorism and Premium Audit, you will work across underwriting, actuarial and technology teams to identify trends, improve data quality and support evidence-based decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded professional who enjoys combining audit, data insights and stakeholder engagement in a purpose-driven organisation.

Role responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of ARPC’s cedant premium review program.
  • Analyse premium submissions to identify trends, anomalies and audit priorities.
  • Apply quantitative analytics and statistical techniques to support audit planning and risk assessment.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to support audit findings and reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT and Actuarial teams to improve data quality and accessibility.
  • Prepare clear audit reports and contribute to discussions with cedants on review outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across audit practices and processes.
  • Support premium refund and offset activities and contribute to the annual audit program.
  • Participate in audit projects, system testing and broader underwriting activities as required.

Candidate attributes

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce or another quantitative discipline – Mandatory
  • ANZIIF Senior Associate qualification (or willingness to work towards it) – Desirable

Experience

  • Experience in audit, data analytics, business intelligence or actuarial analysis – Mandatory
  • Working knowledge of financial services, insurance, reinsurance or banking – Mandatory
  • Experience preparing audit reports – Desirable

Technical capabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience interpreting complex datasets and translating findings into practical insights.
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and work collaboratively
  • Sound commercial judgement, attention to detail and project management capability.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a high-performing team.

Note

The role is based in Sydney CBD.

You must be an Australian citizen and be able to obtain the Australian Government’s baseline security clearance successfully.
