ARPC appoints General Manager, Governance and Compliance

Dr Christopher Wallace, Chief Executive of Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC), has announced the appointment of Samantha Lawrence as General Manager, Governance and Compliance.
Ms Lawrence is a skilled governance professional with more than 15 years’ experience in board secretary roles, including substantial experience supporting government boards. Her last role was with Insurance and Care NSW (icare) where she was Chief of Staff to the CEO. Before that, she served as icare’s General Manager, Inclusion and Diversity, and held the role of Company Secretary.
Ms Lawrence has Board Secretary experience with a range of other related NSW Government organisations including the former WorkCover NSW’s Workers Compensation Insurance Fund (WCIF) and Safety, Return to Work and Support (SRWS).
Ms Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Archaeology and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. She has undertaken the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Directors Course.

Ms Lawrence will commence in the role with ARPC on 1 March 2021.
