Chief Operating Officer

This role is primarily responsible for leading the design and delivery of the strategic planning process and driving operational excellence across the organisation. It has a focus on improving systems, structures, policies and procedures with the goal of improving business performance.

The COO will be an innovative strategic thinker who can coordinate the Senior Leadership team and the ARPC Board to formulate long-term strategic vision, goals and objectives.

Head of Risk 

Level: EL2 +

The purpose of this role is to act as a trusted adviser to the Chief Risk and Governance Officer and Senior Executive Team, and to lead the planning, design, implementation and management of the risk management function for ARPC.

Executive Manager, Claims Assessment and Audit 

Level: EL2

The Executive Manager, Claims Assessment and Audit will establish then manage an efficient and compliant Claims Assessment and Audit function in accordance with ARPC’s policy terms and conditions, as well as relevant Reinsurance Agreements with ARPC Insurance Customer and Industry standards.

Manager, IT Service Delivery 

Level: EL1

The purpose of this role is to support ARPC’s Information Technology (IT) operations by ensuring smooth delivery of IT service with sustained outcome for ARPC team members and actively contributing to the development and maintenance of a high-quality IT environment in accordance with ARPC policies.

Project Manager 

Level: EL1

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality project management which enables the agency to achieve its strategic goals and objectives. Note, the role will initially report to the Chief Claims and Customer Officer to support the implementation of the Cyclone Reinsurance Pool, and as this project transitions to a ‘business as usual’ state, transition to the Project Management Office, led by the Senior Manager Business Performance.

This role will support ARPC drive sound risk management practice. This includes embedding the risk management framework by ensuring that all risk activities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner and escalated where relevant.

Analyst, Operational Resilience and Event Response

Level: ARPC 5-6

The purpose of the Analyst, Operational Resilience and Event Response role is to support:

  • event preparedness and the delivery of response frameworks, processes, and procedures designed to enable ARPC to prepare for and respond effectively to declared terrorism and cyclone reinsurance events
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM) to minimise operational impacts to ARPC and ARPC’s customers and stakeholders that may result from disruptive events

Underwriting Analyst Terrorism 

Level: ARPC 5-6

The purpose of this role is to assist the Underwriting team by:

  • processing all new and existing classes of business for ARPC’s Terrorism product, within established underwriting guidelines, authority levels and service standards (70% of role) and
  • providing analysis, insights, continuous improvement initiatives and reporting (30% of role).
