Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Terrorism Insurance Act 2003 (TI Act). ARPC is also subject to requirements under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (prior to 1 July 2014, the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997) and is within the Treasury portfolio. ARPC is responsible for administering the terrorism reinsurance scheme, providing primary insurers with reinsurance for commercial property and associated business interruption losses arising from a declared terrorist incident.
